World No Tobacco Day

We at Airfree appreciate May 31st and the observance of WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY.  Society has come a long way with regards to enforcing and acknowledging the dangers of tobacco and cigarette products.  In fact, it was only just 10 or so years ago that states enacted statewide smoking bans of sorts with California being the first state in 1995.  Today, there are smoking laws widely throughout the U.S. and in some states there are smoking bans everywhere, including outdoor areas (each state has different bans and can be found by searching the web for each state.)

The vision of the World Health Organization is – A world free of tobacco:  tobacco free people, communities and environments.  Their goal is to attain the lowest possible tobacco use prevalence and the highest level of protection from second-hand smoke.

Fast Facts:

  • Tobacco kills nearly 6 million people each year, of whom more than 5 million are users and ex-users and more than 600,000 are nonsmokers exposed to second-hand smoke.
  • Nearly 80% of the world’s 1 BILLION smokers live in low and middle income countries.
  • Second-hand some contains over 7,000 chemicals of which 70 are known carcinogens.

Everyone deserves the right to breathe fresh clean air.  Smoking is optional…….breathing is not.

We at Airfree firmly believe in this vision and care for our customers and strongly suggest everyone participate in World No Tobacco Day.  Even if it is for one day.  One day is all it takes to make a change for the better.  Breathe.

We firmly believe in our company mission –  To combine the best technology and design, to turn our clients’ needs into innovative solutions for indoor atmospheres, whether for health reasons, comfort or to increase productivity.  Check us out at for a purifier that will work best for you.
