Seven Tips for the Protection of Environment

Post Blog

World Environment Day is celebrated in June and is focused on encouraging global awareness and action for the protection of environment

In 2019, industry institutes warn of this pollution that today kills about 7 million people worldwide.

Below are some suggested tips for the protection of environment and earth.

1Say “no” to excessive purchases. Even if it sounds like the latest and best fashion trend, make an effort and think about whether you need to purchase. Did you know that it takes 1,849 gallons of water to produce ONE PAIR of JEANS?  Add to it the consumption of mass amounts of energy in transportation and associated emissions.

2- Promote energy saving and energy efficiency. If you are not using it, why is a device going to stay connected? Turn off everything you do not need – by doing so will save energy and your monthly bill will be considerably lower!

3 – Aim to recycle more and recycle better. Always separate your garbage at home and work. The future of the next generation relies on it.  Promote the reduction of resource consumption.

4 – Plant trees and other native species whose characteristics are adapted to your area and climate and help to prevent forest fires. The importance of our forests is that it is also responsible for the absorption of 30% of the global pollutant emissions.

5 – Choose less polluting ways of transportation. Take advantage of the benefits associated with the use of public transport. The bicycle is increasingly a statement, as well as other methods of moving, especially in big cities. Cars and vans produce about 15% of carbon dioxide emissions in the European Union (EU).

6 – Choose renewable energy sources, since most of them contribute very little to the emissions that cause global warming, thereby reducing the polluting emissions drastically.

7 – Participate, pass the word, and make the change yourself. There are many social movements to raise awareness of environmental problems. We can join them or create our awareness circuit, passing on the word protection of environment.

LEARN MORE ABOUT AIR POLLUTION

More than 7 million people die prematurely every year because of polluted air. Did you know that 90% of the world’s population breathes polluted air?

In addition to the deaths due to respiratory problems caused by pollution, the effects of this also occur in chronic diseases. According to a study by the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, USA, 1 in 7 new cases of diabetes are caused by air pollution.

According to the World Health Organization, among the consequences of polluted air is the intensification of global warming, major health damage and even economic losses, valued at costs of $5 trillion a year for the global economy.

Air pollution kills every 5 seconds!

Air pollution is already classified by many as the “silent killer, invisible and prolific” and on this World Environment Day the Quercus – National Association for Nature Conservation – stresses the need to address climate change in favor of rights the control of temperature rise.

The United Nations calls for “courageous measures” to countries to contain the pollution of the air we breathe and improve health.

At issue is a report of devastating conclusions which point to such high levels that it is concluded that air pollution already causes one death every five seconds, with researchers estimating that this mortality rate is higher annually than that of tobacco.
